ulrikke lund my imaginary friend . . . & LOOK OF THE DAY . . .

Obviously I follow a LOT of other blogs & one that always, always catches my eye is THE delightful Ulrikke Lund.  I don't understand all that much as she is Norwegian although I do use google translate because she is genuinely interesting.

One of my real besties Vanessa arrives in NYC today (you will be seeing lots of pictures of her in FSAugusta next week - party time) so I thought I would introduce you to my imaginary bestie as well - ULRIKKE.  And her outfit yesterday was HOT, I NEED that jacket (I already have the jeans), I have decided to do more of my FAV out fits of the day but here's the first & be sure to look at Ulrikke'S BLOG - just translate!! I am in LOVE with Terry Richardson

So a lot of people know of my Terry love.

He is by no means my only favourite photographer. I have a few, the other obvious choices that spring to mind are Corrine Day whose atmospheric angsty work adorned my 'inspiration wall' as a teenager & beyond, when I worked with her it was a truly pivotal time in my life.  For me heroine chic probably in part due to my age & the rest totally due to Corrine will always be THE look.  And Rankin too he is just so bold so clean & crisp, so detailed & so 'good' . . . when FSAugusta were asked to donate jewellery to Oxglam for him earlier in the year, I have to say I was bloody thrilled I have a huge admiration for him and his work, I think the word is just 'striking' if that makes any sense or that is probably playing it down somewhat.

But Terry . . . perhaps its his accessibility through social media that turm me on to him so much, the access to new daily pics via his tumbler is something that I love & need to check on more than a daily basis, we are so easily transported in to Terry World & I am so glad that we are because for me that's all part of the magic because Terry World is filed with beautiful people & beautiful places in the dirtiest kind of way & this is all part of his appeal.  If you have previously been following FSAugusta on Facebook then you know that I often put up pics of my fav Terry pics & that is going to happen here too . . . but before I do that I thought maybe you would appreciate a brief explanation as to why I am in love with Terry Richardson & now you have it.

I won't write any more about my dearest Terry just yet as I am pretty sure you will have to read more again soon!

NYC is making me FAT . . .

My LOVE for cupcakes, well more specifically icing really (I sometimes eat icing from the tubes, I LOVE icing!)grew immensely in the summer when I came to NYC with my frequent partner in crime Vanessa who introduced me to the wonders of Magnolia Bakery .  I had indeed heard of them but never had I actually tasted the juicy goodness for my self and I had been missing out big time.  I am quite a traditionalist with my cupcakes and my FAV (to date) is the wholesome magic that is the vanilla cupcake with the best f**king vanilla icing I have ever tasted! Icing tubes and all other brand of cupcakes have been ruined for me now, there is no point in eating them!! But now I am back in NYC for a while me and my Magnolia loving are at one!! So it's official this city is going to make me fat as I know this will not be the only time you are forced to read about my icing LOVE!!

BOXING ON BOXING DAY . . .

COBALT BLUE I THINK I LOVE YOU . . .

I have become really obsessed with cobalt blue recently - after purchasing a pair of jeans in the aforementioned colour way now I want more, so when I saw these handbags on Selfridges Facebook page this morn I felt the need to bring them to your attention & then to rush towards Selfridges . . . 

I really want one of the clutches!!! Surprisingly maybe the simple Givenchy rather than the Maison Do posh studded which I would normally gravitate too . . .

That said who am I kidding anything in cobalt blue will do!!

DALLAS . . . motivation

So seeing as you all seemed to enjoy my Home & Away inspiration/shamespiration post I felt the need to humiliate myself/let you in further & show you more embarrassing inspiration behind the 'brain' of FSAugusta . . . Dallas!! 

Many of you who actually know me, know that Dallas has been an obsession of mine on & off for years!! But for me the Dallas theme tune . . . is my 'rocky' song!! When ever I need motivation to 'get up n go' this theme tune is played.  And it is played loud & its played proud!!! 

I am about to start watching the DVD's from the beginning again as there are soooo many huge earrings that I LOVE on Sue Ellen Ewing (my fav character)& so many will be ideal for the range that will be released towards the end 2012!! Trust me . . .

Despite my love for the US and my countless visits I have never been to Dallas, I can't.  Because of course it's not actually the same as the series, you know being that the series isn't ACTUALLY real and the time difference (decades have passed now!!) & in my head this is the REAL DALLAS & that's the way it needs to stay! I don't want my illusions to be shattered!

But for now anyway I just wanted to alert you to my motivational song! And if any of you need motivating my suggestion is try it for yourselves!!

The Fashion Hub . . .

The Fashion Hub is somewhere I like to check out new looks & pics on a daily basis . . . so for those of you who aren't already aware of it I though I would highlight it & show you some of my personal FAV pics form this week!!

This is a whole new level of bling . . . and we all know I love bling!!!! Grill lovers eat your heart out!

LOVE this much jewellery on any hand . . . whilst none of the this jewellery is FSAugusta (shame on them) I admire this level of layering! This takes talent, trust me, I wear a minimum of 10 rings every day so the promotion of excessive ring layering is a MUST!! FYI LOVE the nails too . . .

Obviously neon mix colour hair is very now & whilst I haven't jumped on the bandwagon for fear reasons I DO LOVE IT!! Whilst I have had blond, brown, black & pink hair they have all been at different times! Perhaps I should bite the bullet??

Luggage & Paris an ideal combo! For those of you that know me, you know that I LOVE luggage, I have a lot of it, I consistently buy a lot of it & I can shop for it for hours . . . & nothing beats an LV TRUNK!! NOTHING! So LV TRUNKS making the Eiffel Tower well that's pretty awesome . . . Paris is one of the cities I love the most & whilst I go there for most fashion weeks & the odd brief weekend I have never actually been there for more than 5 days in a row! Hopefully a move will be on the way towards the end of 2012!

HOME & AWAY . . .

OK sooooo this is a TAD embarrassing . . .  BUT . . .

recently I have become strangely obssesed with old school Home & Away . . . for any of you who follow me on twitter you may already know about this & my shame over it (I am looking for acceptance by admitting my problem FYI)!! 

I can't get enough of Marlyn, Stacey & Morag's massive earrings! When you have to take your earring off to use the phone you know it's a gooden ... I have become obsessed with the late 80's early 90's eps!! Some one save me from myself!! You will soon see that this is going to be part of my inspiration for the newest DALI INFAMOUS RANGE pieces!!!
